2019 Get InspirED
On May 11th, 2019 In partnership with John F. Kennedy University Lean in Latinas held their first-ever Get InspirED event. This event took place on the lovely grounds at the University Club of Palo Alto. This educational summit focused on the importance of education for the advancement of Latina women. The day consisted of panel discussions, a keynote, and financial workshops to breakdown some of the cultural barriers faced when returning to school. According to the Fulfilling America’s Future: Latinas in the U.S. 2015 Report, Latinas are least likely of all women to complete a college degree, at just 19 percent compared to nearly 44 percent of white women. These are statistics Lean in Latinas want to change and our summit is the first step!
