Meet Elizabeth.

After a long career baking and working in the hospitality industry, I went back to school to in order to enter the Healthcare industry. I have 7 years at Stanford Children's. I grew up in the bay area and am a single mom to a beautiful 12 years old. We enjoy listening to music, working on some art creations, going to movies and on long drives. I came to the United States when I was two years old. I didnt have a hispanic tradition in my childhood, and was hoping to learn more about myself and the culture. 

What drives you to be a part of Lean In Latinas?

I wanted to be a part of a bigger picture. I wanted to feel like I was making a difference and helping others. What a better way to make a difference than to be part of an organization that uplifts and encourages other females, especially Latinas.  

What advice would you give to other Latinas?

Remember you, and only you allow how others treat you. There is never a reason to stay quiet, and keep smiling. 

What do you do for fun?

I create diamond art paintings. Going out with friends. Cleaning and being around my daughter.
