Meet Victoria.

Victoria is a Director for a higher education institution, Board Chair for the City of San Antonio HESAB, Board Director for Jolt Action, Co-Leader for the Lean in Latina,  San Antonio Circle and Founder of Transforming Legacies Consulting, LLC. A non-traditional leader who didn’t launch her career or education until her late 30s, Victoria is proof that impact is not defined by a conventional timeline. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership and is currently pursuing her second master's in administration (Industrial and Organizational Psychology). She values community and relationships. A proud mother of two adult daughters, she is a dedicated advocate for creating spaces where women can lead with authority, regardless of when they start.

What drives you to be a part of Lean In Latinas?

As a Co-Founder of the Lean In Latinas San Antonio chapter, my drive comes from a desire to move beyond just "having a seat at the table" to actually building the table itself. I am passionate about transforming legacies and ensuring that Latinas are not just participating in the workforce but defining its future leadership standards. I believe in the power of community to hold us accountable to our highest potential.

What advice would you give to other Latinas?

Focus on your legacy, not just your job title. Be direct, be honest, and don't soften your edges or dim your bright colors to make others comfortable. As someone who started their journey later in life, I can tell you that education and preparation are your best tools; never stop learning. Finally, understand that true leadership isn't about being liked; it's about being effective.

What do you do for fun?

I love exploring San Antonio, catching the latest movies, and enjoying a hot cup of coffee or a fabulous glass of wine with my family and  friends. I’m also an avid consumer of audiobooks and podcasts, often listening during  other activities to maximize my time.
